Pokémon Go has been nothing less than a game changer for Nintendo. People from around the world are exploring their neighbourhood and catching their own Pokémons. Though Pokémon Go is officially out for those in US, UK, Australia, Germany and New Zealand, those in India and other parts of the World are still waiting for this AR game to be launched officially. We detail below the steps you can take to download and play the game, even though it's not yet officially available.

How to download Pokémon Go for Android

For Android users it is a very easy task, perform the following steps to download the game from a 3rd party website:

  • Firstly, allow your phone to install the apks from Unknown Sources. For this, go to Settings > Security.
  • Tap the toggle for Unknown Sources to On.
  • Now Open your preferred web browser and go to this , to find the latest version of  Pokémon Go.
  • Download the apk and install it.

It will now be installed on your Android Smartphone. So go out and Catch 'em all.


How to download and install Pokémon Go on iPhone

Method 1:

For iPhone users, the process is slightly difficult. You need an iTunes account from a country wherein the game is officially available and then download it.  Often you need a credit card from the country the account is based in, but it is possible to do it without. Perform the following step on your iPhone to setup your new iTunes Account:
  • Open up System Settings on your iPhone, tap on 'Apple ID' and select to sign out.
  • Now change the region of your iPhone. To do this head on to the Settings>General>Language & Region.
  • Set your region as US or Australia or New Zealand.
  • Now go to the App Store and search Pokemon Go, it should appear. Click Install and the App Store would open a pop up, asking you to sign in, click on Create New.
  •  Now create a new iTunes ID with a US or Australia or New Zealand Address. It is important though to tap "None" for billing information, otherwise you need a credit card from the specific region chosen.
  • Now you can download and install Pokémon Go onto your iPhone.
Method 2:
  • Open the website ios.hipestore.mobi on your iPhone, and search for Pokemon GO.
  • After selecting download now, select the 1.0 version under the “Non Jailbreak” sub head – and then press download. Press “Open in App Store” and then press install when it flashes, and you are done! You now have Pokemon GO downloading on your phone.

This might not work always. If the website shows a random error then try after few hours.

Google sides US and bans Huawei

Google has just released a statement that they will be banning Huawei's license to use Android immediately as it must compile to US Laws. This is a hugh blow to the Chinese smartphone maker which has already become the 3rd largest smartphone maker in the world, on the back of some solid smartphones.  Speaking to  Reuters , a Google spokesperson confirmed that “Google Play and the security protections from Google Play Protect will continue to function on existing Huawei devices.” This means while the current smartphones should receive updates, the future is surely uncertain for Huawei.
